Ketchum...The Resting Place.

  • Ketchum is 1 hour behind Chicago.

Itinerary

  • Arrive at the Sun Valley Airport at 4:08pm after a 10 hour flight from Cancun.
  • The hotel you will be staying at is the Clarion Inn of Sun Valley. This hotel is in Ketchum and is located one mile away from the Ernest Hemingway Memorial. You're there for three days and two nights.
  • These activities are going to be about remembering Ernest Hemingway and what a great writer he was and how his family ties finally caught up to him.
  1. The first activity I want you to do is to visit 400 East Canyon Run. This is Hemingway's home in Ketchum and is where he killed himself with a shotgun through his mouth. You'll learn all about it when you go.
  2. Next, visit the Ketchum Cemetery and visit his gravesite. And the Ernest Hemingway Memorial while you're at it.
  3. Lastly, this has nothing to do with Hemingway but Ketchum itself. Take a walk along the railway that brought so much publicity into the old mining town that is know as Ketchum.
  • These activities should show you to appreciate Hemingway in his last home that he knew.

Cost of Ketchum, Idaho

  • In Ketchum, you shouldn't have to spend that much money, mainly for the hotel. The hotel is $80 per night for two nights.
  • Also, the flight from Cancun to Ketchum is $516.
  • No flight home that i scheduled...good luck with that one.
