Havana, Cuba....This Should Be Fun!

Havana, Cuba

  • Mild and sub tropical climate with cool trade winds.

  • The average high temperature is 81 degrees F.

  • The average low temperature is 68 degrees F.

  • The national currency for Cuba is the Peso.

  • The national language is Spanish.

  • Havana is 1 hour ahead of Chicago, where we originally started.

Itinerary

  • Alright, so i had trouble finding you a flight into Havana since Cuba is so messed up right now, i don't want to get you shot. But anyways, i finally found one. You're going to be flying into Havana from Cancun...yeah Cancun.
  • So, i really did find out that you won't get shot while you're in Cuba, if you do, you can sue me.
  • Anyways, the hotel I found for you is called the Tropicoco Hotel. It looks pretty nice and it's cheap. It was first opened in 1976 and still looks amazing.
  • Now, the three activities this time around are kind of special because you are actually going to see some of Hemingway's belongings.
  1. Go to the bar La Floridita. Hemingway visited here very often and loved to come.
  2. Later, go to the Ambos Mundos Hotel and ask to see the room that Hemingway stayed in. It's Cuba so they will probly ask you for a couple bucks to see it, but it will be worth it.
  3. Finally, you can go on a restricted tour of Hemingway's boat that he bought in 1934 but a man named Gregorio Fuentes recieved it in Hemingway's will. Its located at Finca Vigia.
  4. Now, away from Havana, go to a place called the Vedado District. This place has great fishing and is where Hemingway himself took out his boat and went fishing.
  • So, all in all, those activities in Cuba should really be special since most of them actually deal with Ernie boy.

Cost of Havana Cuba

  • You don't have to pay for a flight this time around since I got you a roundtrip from and to Cancun. From Cancun you can go to your next destination. But no price for a flight.
  • A couple bucks to see Hemingway's hotel room: $2.
  • The cost of the hotel, which is $93.97 per night for two nights.
  • And that's it besides your personals.

The approximate cost for Havana is around $190.

LAST STOP---Ketchum, Idaho!!
